RoundOne.ai
How a voice-AI recruiting platform built a predictable B2B SaaS pipeline.
Client: RoundOne.ai — voice AI that interviews every applicant within minutes of applying and delivers recruiters a ranked shortlist by morning.
Trust friction and a saturated HR-tech category were quietly capping growth.
RoundOne had a genuinely differentiated product — AI voice screening that replaces the first-round phone screen — but two adoption barriers stood in the way of growth: trust friction, since talent teams needed to experience the AI interview before believing it worked, not just read about it; and a crowded HR-tech category, where "AI recruiting" search terms were saturated with ATS vendors and resume parsers, making organic and paid visibility expensive to win.
RoundOne needed a growth engine that could turn skeptical HR and TA leaders into free-trial signups, and free trials into paid seats, without inflating CAC.
What We Did
Paid Media
Built LinkedIn campaigns targeting Heads of Talent Acquisition and Recruiting Ops at Series B–D companies, using the "be your own candidate — 90 seconds, no signup" self-demo as the primary ad hook rather than a generic feature list. Layered in Google Search campaigns on high-intent terms to catch bottom-funnel buyers already comparing tools.
AI SEO & Content
Built out a content cluster around the jobs RoundOne actually solves — high-volume hiring, screening fatigue from AI-generated applications, time-to-shortlist — rather than generic "future of recruiting" content, structured for both traditional search and AI-answer engines.
Conversion Rate Optimisation
Rebuilt the homepage flow so the 90-second self-demo sits above the fold as the primary CTA, with the 30-minute team demo offered as a secondary path. Streamlined the 14-day trial signup to remove unnecessary form fields.
Funnel & Lifecycle Marketing
Built an automated nurture sequence triggered the moment a prospect completes their own self-demo, using their own interview experience as social proof. Added a second track for trial users who hadn't invited teammates, nudging toward team-wide adoption.
Analytics & Attribution
Instrumented self-demo completions, trial starts, and "agent assigned to a role" activation events as distinct funnel stages, so spend could be attributed to the moment that actually predicted paid conversion.
RoundOne's product sells itself once someone tries it. The growth strategy stopped competing on ad copy and started routing as much traffic as possible into the self-demo, then let the product close the trust gap.
